February 7 (into early morning Feb.8) 2003 there was a transit of Io's shadow on Jupiter, followed shortly thereafter by transits of Europa's shadow and the Great Red Spot simultaneously. I got some photos of the the latter events.

Jupiter with Europa shadow Jupiter with Europa's Shadow

The dark spot just right of center is Europa's shadow. Io is visible to the right of the planet. (Europa is not visible against the planet.) The G.R.S. is the orange-pink area in the lower white band, left of center. Io had been in front of Jupiter about 1 1/2 hours earlier.

Jupiter Jupiter

About 30 minutes later. The G.R.S. is now dead center. Europa shadow is closer to right edge of Jupiter. Io is a little farther away. I have turned on the date/time imprint mode on the camera.

Jupiter Jupiter

Europa is just crossing out from in front of Jupiter. You can see it as a little bump on the right side of Jupiter. The shadow is almost to the edge of the planet.
